Set at one of the highest point in Tarrytown, this design is minimally visible from surrounding sites by being nestled into the landscape while also maximizing views of the Hudson Valley. The form is derived from a series of boxes, stacked and rotated in order to shape exterior space and to modulate interior light.
Currently in Design Development, Peterson Rich Office is working with the owners to form a series of outdoor rooms, each serving a different purpose. The owner is a car collector, and the Forecourt space creates a turnaround and display area for up to six cars at a time. The second storey volumes cover several outdoor patio spaces that frame views into The Yard, The Vista, and The Forest.
